"Why accept Westcoast customer opening accounts, and accept incoming wire transfers, if you cut off access of a user's funds unless they come visit a physical branch? What is the point of a password, 2 factor authentication, phone code, voice print, security questions, if you are going to require physical presence like this is the 1950s? Highly do not recommend this bank. Do not ever open an account with them. They literally steal your money into a black hole and have zero accountability. And the audacity to charge a monthly fee starting 2026 too."

"So much for “America’s most convenient bank”! I wanted to do the simplest transaction: transfer funds to my brokerage account. First they suspend my linked brokerage account. Then a branch-initiated wire transfer gets rejected despite correct information, costing me $70. After more calls and branch visits, the bank only offers a $45 “courtesy” refund, so I’m back to square one with $25 and a lot of nerves lost along the way. I closed my account shortly afterwards — after this and other similar experiences it wasn’t logical to do any business with TD any more."

"not really "America's most technologically advanced bank" or "America's most convenient bank." They don't do international wire, they can't comprehend that anyone would have a foreign phone number and be trying to log in. My funds have been stuck with them for 5 years after I moved and the best they could do is offer to write a foreign check which international banks can't cash anyway. I can't verify my login with just an email address and I can't make international purchases with a credit card because they automatically decline. I don't think getting a new credit card would help even for a non-suspected-fraud transaction because I'm sure they make you also verify with a text message. I spoke to them on the phone and they said I would have to write them a letter basically begging for my own money, even if they were to take a chunk of fees. They are welcome to contact me as they have my email address except all they do with that is spam me with offers and tell me I have a new statement which again relies on my mobile number. I really don't get it it's a phone verification service that simply confirms I am a US person (anything other than 10 digits won't update); it's not a bank it's not technologically advanced and it's not convenient. They literally suggested I take a 20 hour flight to cash my money."

"Always, always, always, always a sub optimal experience. The front line is not empowered to do ANYTHING, and if you don’t have an appointment for “customer service”, you end up waiting more than 30 minutes, which is unacceptable when one shouldn’t have to go to a branch anymore in the first place. Usually I have the foresight to book an appointment, but sometimes the transaction seems so routine that I convince myself the tellers should be able to handle it, and I’m sorely mistaken. I dread coming in here with every fiber of my being."
